After observing the pain and ostracism
of two gay family members, Ana joined PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.) This led to an extensive personal
journey, learning about the many ways that people experience differences in sexual orientation, gender identity, and
gender expression.
Ana facilitates a support group for PFLAG, and conducts trainings for heterosexual
people to understand the issues. She nurtures a vision of safe workplaces where people are valued for their unique,
individual contributions regardless of their race, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
